Exams Information
Public exams can be a stressful time for students and parents/carers and it is important that all those involved are as well informed as possible. The school will make every effort to ensure that our students receive the best possible preparation for their exams and that the administrative arrangements run smoothly to help our students achieve their best.
We have included some useful information together with the JCQ documents below that you can download. Please don’t hesitate to contact us during school hours if you have any queries.

Exam Dates Summer 2026
GCSE Exams at Larkmead will take place between 8th May 2026 and 16th June 2026
A-Level Exams at Larkmead will take place between 11th May 2026 and 18th June 2026
A contingency day has been declared on Wednesday 24th June 2026. Students must remain available until this date should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.

You are not alone when you need to revise for assessments, tests or exams. We are here for you every step of the way. We are extremely proud of the range and scope of the support available to help you achieve your full potential. There is a huge amount of resources available to help you revise and study successfully.

Examination Certificates
Exam certificates are published by awarding bodies in November/March following the Summer/Autumn examination series.
Upon receipt of the certificates, Larkmead School will complete a checking process prior to releasing to students. For students who are still attending Larkmead, the certificates will be kept in school for them to collect from the Exams Office. For students no longer attending Larkmead, an email will be sent to parents detailing collection dates and times. If you are unable to collect during the collection windows, please contact the Exams team by email exams@lar.cambrianlt.org to arrange collection at an alternative time. Please note, we are unable to send certificates in the post.
Students should expect to receive certificates around the second week in December or April, depending on which exam season they relate to.
It is very important to keep exam certificates safely and securely stored. In future years, employers and further education establishments may ask to see the certificates and if lost, neither Larkmead School or the awarding body are able to provide replacement certificates. However, the awarding body will be able to provide a replacement Certified Statement of Results, but at a considerable cost.
