Welcome from the Headteacher
I am delighted to return to Larkmead as Headteacher where I was Deputy Headteacher for five and a half years before becoming Headteacher at Fitzharrys.
I am drawn to working in and leading our local schools because of the importance of education in shaping and nurturing individual lives, enriching communities and creating bright futures.
Larkmead’s vision is that our learning community reflects a culture of ambition and aspiration for all, where confidence is created through celebration and challenge, where students acquire knowledge in a way which develops skills and helps them to achieve their individual potential.
The Larkmead experience encourages our students to become actors, artists, athletes, coders, cooks, craftspeople, dancers, engineers, explorers, geographers, historians, linguists, mathematicians, musicians, performers, scientists, writers and much more.
As a parent and someone who has worked in and with Larkmead since 2005 I know the values of our happy and successful school, and the value we bring to students, staff and our community.
The power of a Larkmead education goes beyond the classroom, nurturing character, confidence, creativity, curiosity and resilience. Being part of the Larkmead family means that students and staff will walk taller so that their horizons are broader.
