Administrative Assistant

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POST

Larkmead School is seeking applications for the role of Administrative Assistant, to commence in November 2020.  The successful candidate will have prior experience of working in an administrative environment – although this need not necessarily have been in a school.  Flexibility, patience and a polite manner are a must for the post-holder.

The role will more specifically involve reprographic duties, scheduling of activities within school calendars, facilitating the admissions process, processing purchase orders and invoicing of lettings, typing, using office machinery and general administration tasks as directed.  Applicants should be ICT competent and be familiar with MS Office and e-mail. 

Salary: Grade 4 Point 4-5 £18,933.00 - £19,312.00   
Actual salary to reflect hours and the term time nature of the post £6,392.84 - £6,520.81 

Contract Hours: 15 hours per week during term time only. 
Monday and Tuesday 8.00am - 4.00pm with a 30-minute unpaid daily rest break

Closing Date: 9.00am Friday 30th October 2020  

Interview Date: Week commencing 2nd November 2020 

Position Start Date: November 2020

lunchtime supervisor

Lunchtime Supervisor Posts

 

We are seeking to expand our team of lunchtime supervisors to work with our established, well organised provision. The successful candidates will be calm, efficient, fair and have experience of supervising/interacting with teenagers and young adults.

 

Our lunchtime team provide support for the social and personal needs of pupils, ensuring that they have a safe and healthy environment, during lunchtime break periods at the school.

 

This is achieved by;

 

  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with pupils, and providing care and support to them during lunch break activities.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with other school staff, whilst reviewing and developing own skills and practices.
  • Contributing to the management of pupil behaviour and security.
  • Assisting with the management of communal areas and activities.

 

Salary: Grade 1 Point 1 £17,842.00

Actual salary to reflect hours and the term time nature of the post £2008.10

Contract Hours: 5 hours per week during term time only. Working one hour per day Monday to Friday. Consideration will be given to flexible working arrangements and or a job share arrangement if 5 days per week is not possible. At present due to COVID- 19 procedures an additional hour per day is available on an overtime basis.

Cleaner

JOB VACANCY – CLEANERS (CASUAL/BANK STAFF)

 

Larkmead School are looking for cleaners to join our casual bank staff to work with our small yet very busy Site Management team.

 

Work is offered on an as-needed basis once you are added to our bank staff. There is no guarantee of work, or commitment to particular hours on a regular basis. We are looking for people who are happy to either be booked in advance, or to work at short notice, if our regular cleaners are sick or need to take time off.

You will be responsible for carrying out cleaning duties that enable the school to operate fully and efficiently as an effective learning environment.  The successful applicants will possess an enthusiastic, helpful and flexible manner, will be energetic and possess the ability to deal easily with the full range of adults and students who may use or visit the school.

 

Appropriate technical and Health & Safety training will be provided to the successful candidates.

 

Salary Type: Grade 1 Point 1 which is currently £9.25 per hour

Contract Hours: Casual ad-hoc during term time
