Exam Invigilators and Readers / Scribes

Larkmead School is seeking applications for the roles of Exams Invigilator / Reader / Scribe to join our busy team. Successful candidates will need to be observant, have good attention to detail, and work well in the team. Flexibility, patience and a polite manner are a must for the post holders.

The role will more specifically involve working as part of a team to set up exam rooms and closely follow strict rules and regulations, whilst supporting the students. We are seeking both invigilators and readers & scribes to work on a one to one basis with students. Applicants are welcome to apply for one, or both of the roles. All exams team staff attend an annual 2-hour training course, prior to the summer exam season.

We can offer a small or large selection of hours, depending on your availability. Many of our existing team members also have part time jobs or regular commitments.

The hours available are throughout the school week, from 8.20am to 4pm, depending on your availability. Invigilation, reading and scribing at Larkmead is paid at the casual claim rate of £10.57 per hour (Inc. holiday pay).

Cover Supervisor

We are seeking to recruit an inspiring Cover Supervisor to join our enthusiastic and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity to directly support students and staff at Larkmead and to enhance the learning outcomes for our student body.

 

The successful applicant will have high expectations of all students and be committed to raising educational achievement in classes across both the curriculum and academic years. Flexibility is key as the daily role is a reactive one requiring you to move to where need is greatest.

 

Training will be given but it would be an advantage to have classroom experience hence the role would suit an existing Teaching Assistant looking to expand and develop their career within education or a graduate considering a future in Teaching.

 

Salary Type: Grade 6 Point 8 – 13 £20,493.00- £22,627.00 (pro rata), actual salary to reflect the term time nature of the post £13,839.17 - £15,280.28

Contract Hours: 30 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.25am – 3.10pm with 45 minute unpaid rest break each day

Teacher of Science - Fixed Term Contract until 11th March 2022

Larkmead School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and inspiring classroom practitioner from January 2022. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational, enthusiastic and well qualified teacher to join our thriving Science department.  The position is suitable for NQT’s and experienced teachers.

Administrative Assistant (Attendance)

Larkmead School is seeking applications for the role of Administrative Assistant (Attendance), to commence in November 2021 or as soon as possible after that.  The successful candidate will have prior experience of working in an administrative environment – although this need not necessarily have been in a school.  Flexibility, patience and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders are a must for the post-holder.

 

The role will more specifically involve administering the attendance monitoring process through recording, challenging, contacting and highlighting concerns with appropriate school leaders and family members/carers where appropriate along with general administration tasks as directed.  Applicants should be ICT competent and be familiar with MS Office and e-mail.

 

Salary: Grade 5 Point 5-7 £19,312.00 - £20,092.00. Actual salary to reflect hours and the term time nature of the post £14,128.42 - £14,699.06.

 

Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week during term time only. The working days and times must start between the hours of 7.45am and 8.45am however we are flexible around distribution of the remaining hours so long as they conclude before 5pm each day.

Human Resources Co-ordinator

 

 

Larkmead are seeking to recruit a HR Co-ordinator to support and organise the team across the school site. This role will suit a proactive personable individual with experience of HR processing, co-ordination and an eye for detail.

 

This role is fundamental to the smooth running of the school, ensuring that all available resources are planned to maximise potential, through the co-ordination of in-house cover supervisors and external agency supply cover as required.

 

The role requires self-motivation and reactive skills to deal with emergency cover requirements when receiving absence calls in the morning, in addition to co-ordinating the planned cover requirements and various HR processes throughout the day/year.

 

Salary Type: Grade 8 Point 18-23 £24,982.00 - £27,741.00 (pro rata), actual salary to reflect the term time nature of the post £19,946.00 - £22,148.82 

Contract Hours: 35 hours per week during term time only. The hours will be 7am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday.
