Initial Teacher Training
If you are interested in a career in teaching, you can complete your training at Larkmead School, benefit from the support, expertise and welcoming nature of our staff and join us in making a real difference to the education and lives of our students. We greatly value the benefits that come from working with teachers embarking on their Initial Teacher Training, including the new ideas it feeds into our faculties and the opportunities it brings us to continually examine and improve our teaching and resources.
At Larkmead School we work closely with both Oxford University’s Department for Education and the Oxfordshire Teacher Training SCITT. We take on interns and associate teachers from both institutions every year and have a strong track record of helping them demonstrate the teacher standards and gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the end of the year.
