Open Evening 6/10/2022

Dear pupils, parents and carers,
 
We look forward to welcoming visitors to our Open Evening on Thursday 6th October to see Larkmead in action.
Summer saw smiles and celebrations from Year 11 and 13 students and parents, collecting examination result that enable them to move on to their next stage with confidence and pride. The new school year has started really well, and it has been great to greet an extra form of students joining us in Year 7.
 
Further development to the Larkmead site has taken place following last summer’s extensive programme.
A further four classrooms have been refurbished in the main block as part of our rolling programme of development.
The school hall has been transformed, with new doors and windows, lighting, ceiling, flooring, stage and curtains. 
The hall and science corridor will see dramatic decoration in time for open evening.
The canteen has been redeveloped in time for our exiting new catering service.
The main block has been redecorated, with new LED lighting throughout.
The playground has been extended and improved.
New upper floor windows are planned for October half term.
Our new Larkmead Promise book showcase our vison and ethos, alongside photos of our wonderful students in action, and there is a video version on our website.
 
As well as Open Evening we have a number of open mornings so that you can see Larkmead on a normal working day and discover what makes our school such a happy and successful community.
