Larkmead Open Evening Thursday 6th October 17.30-20.00

Dear parents and carers,

We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to Larkmead on Thursday 6th October, a great opportunity to share our students, staff and school with families who are looking ahead to the move to secondary school.

We will be closing at 13.05 on Thursday 6th October to enable staff to prepare the school for our visitors. Students may therefore leave the site after registration at 13.05. Thank you for your support with the adaptation to the afternoon.

Students in receipt of Free School Meals will be able to pick up cold-service food at break time. School buses will run at the usual times at the end of the school day. If students need to wait in school for the bus then they will be supervised and support with preparation for the evening.

Students in Year 9 and the Sixth Form will be acting as guides over the course of the evening. Students in other year groups are invited to help in different subject areas around the school. We are really proud of our students and know that getting to meet them will be one of the many highlights of the evening.

As well as the chance to tour the school, there will be a presentation by me and students at 17.45, 18.30 and 19.30 in the Hall.

We are holding a series of Open Mornings on 10th, 11th and 18th October at 9am. Details of how to book can be found on our website.

Yours sincerely,

Jonathan Dennett
