Young Enterprise Team Success at the Finals

Congratulations to our young enterprise team Nascent on winning the south and vale final of the young enterprise competition on Monday evening at Abingdon School.

The team were judged on their stand, company report, interviews with judges and a four minute presentation.  The team really impressed the judges with their enthusiasm, which not only shone through on their stand but also in their presentation. The head judge also commented on their amazing stand which was laid out like a picnic with a selection of cakes made up from their cookbook ‘Oh Crumbs…’ that they have created with recipes from staff at Larkmead school.  They beat teams from Abingdon Boys School, St Helens & St Catherine’s, Our Ladies, and Wallingford School.  This is the first time Larkmead has won this stage and gone through to the county final which will be held in May, they will then have to compete against 9 other teams from across Oxfordshire.

Jodie Morris from the team also scooped the award for ‘outstanding personal contribution’, nominations for this award come from the business advisers and centre lead – Well done Jodie!

Thank you to everyone’s support so far with the team, especially our business advisers Dennis Robbins from Unipart, and Laura Green & Lucy King from SMEG UK
