Message from Thames Valley Police
Thames Valley Police has received a report that a female sixth form student from John Mason School was approached by four men in a silver family sized car at a bus stop on Wootton Road on Monday at 3pm. The men made inappropriate and lewd comments towards the student and encouraged her to get into the car.
We’d like to take the opportunity to reassure you that we take matters such as these seriously, and our officers are making enquiries into the incident. Any information that will help with our investigation can be reported to us by calling 101 and quoting reference number 1074 30/1. If you, our any students, saw the incident take place, or if you saw a silver, family-sized car containing four men who were in their twenties, one of whom had a beard, we’d like to hear from you.
Our Neighbourhood Officers will be patrolling the area over the following week, and so please do speak to them if you’d like to discuss the matter further, and please encourage any students to do the same.
