Award Winning Success

Recently the hard work and effort of our Careers department and wider school was recognised by the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2018 where we won the schools award. The judges were impressed by the wide variety of activities that are put on for students, and the use of ‘Career Champions’ that help inform, promote and support the planning and running of career activities.  Elaine Hodgin who was one of the judges from Clarkson Evans said “Larkmead School impressed me with its joined up strategy for careers advice generally and its forward-thinking approach to the promotion of apprenticeships. The proactive way in which they consulted students about the information they wished to receive about careers and apprenticeships was exemplary. Jess, the careers champion that I met was informed and motivated to play her part in helping younger students get advice on careers. Larkmead School was a worthy winner for this prestigious award,”
