Primary Transition

Joining Larkmead from Primary School

We understand that moving from Primary to Secondary school can be a daunting prospect.  At Larkmead we want to take away some of the worries and make the transition as easy as possible both for parents and students.

To help us to do this we have developed a ‘Transition Journey’ which will give you time to get used to us and answer all of those nagging doubts and queries.

SEN Admissions

SEN Admissions

Larkmead is an inclusive school which attracts students with a range of special needs. To address the demands made on SEND provision at Larkmead we use Provision Mapping. This allows for a range of group and individual interventions to be put in place which to appropriately and effectively meet student needs.

Support for students with Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP) will be prioritised through the provision mapping system. Group interventions are targeted towards those with similar needs whilst recognising that some students will need more support than others.
