Academy Conversion

You will see from the letters in the ‘Communications’ section below that the Larkmead Governing Body took the decision before Christmas 2015 to pursue an application to become an academy.

As you will know, this was not a commitment to become an academy but a commitment to explore the matter seriously and to apply for the funding to do so professionally.  You will see from the later communications that Larkmead is also exploring the possibility of joining with an existing Multi Academy Trust.

The advantages of the above are set out in the communications.  We will continue to communicate with our parents and the local community and open meetings will be posted on this website as they are arranged.

This is an exciting and important time for the school and it is crucial that we explore fully and honestly this fundamental development.

Please feel free to contact to the school should you have any questions about the whole process.

Best wishes

Mr Chris Harris
